Horse With No Legs
Bad Day - Got a part time Fillipino house help who came for the 1st time this morning last Friday. Guess what? - she broke my crystal horse (actually not crystal) Linda bought this for me during one of her earlier trips to Shanghai some 12-13 years back. I titled it "Horse Wih No Name" (a track from one of my favourite group "America", a track that I liked very much, cos we performed it in one of the competitions we took part in our younger days...chay bah bragging now though we did not win). I like horses cos they are fast, strong and non carnivourous. Linda knew I liked this horse very much and called me to tell me about the bad news just about lunch time. Jac's got the cheek to joke about it and she also rang me to tell me that it is now "A Horse WIth No Legs"??? - Very insulting you know. Jac & Jo went outing with church mates, dunno where and with who but can tell she's in good spirit and looking forward to having fun. - I'll have to go look for another horse now and make sure sure sure that no one gets near it, ever! . .....after three days in the desert fun i was looking at the river bend and the story it told of a river that flowed make me sad to think it was dead, you see I've been to the desert on a horse with no name it felt good to be out of the rain in the desert you cant remember your name cos there aint no one for to give you no pain, lalalalala.....A Horse With No Name will be here soon, yes America is performing at Suntec on Dec 7th not sure whether i'm going cos i've seen them twice here, once a gig at HRC and the last at the same suntec venue in 2002 i think. Here & Now their latest album is quite good actually I like "This Time"sang by Dewey Bunnell. Dewey have got this mystic voice that potrays a certain calm, relax and peaceful resonance. By the way he also sang Horse With No Name which I understood was a major hit back in the 70's ....ride on....

Back To The Drawing Board
exams are over for Jac & Nat and i have now luxury of time to catch up with some of my own stuff. going to start my golf lessons with poh eng chong tomorrow noon at green fairways. its kinda embarrasing that since i first pick up the game in 1989, i still have not played a proper game, never shot below 100, only once i came back with 100 at OCC. must be some kind of record i've set. i chose eng chong cos he charges $45 while the other md salleh pros charges like $70, (wa lau ang mor big size ah?) support our local pros man! i heard the ang moh coach video tape your swing while eng chong does not. so he's like charging me $35 to catch me on video?? crap isn't it? since my absence from the game, (the last time i played must be almost a year back), and with the help from the pro, hope that i'll be able to finally pick up the right swing and play some decent golf after these lessons. i always blame my badminton wrist work for all the slice and draw balls...just excuses. T P my golf kaki swore that my aiming is always "way off" and its funny maybe optical illusion that when you are addressing at the Tee box, you tend to compensate for the draw effect and "aim off" - which is precisely the wrong thing to do. - wish me luck

Jac's 1st Dance Class
Last nite Jac went for her 1st GRww Power lesson. Was running late as we reached Millenia almost 20 past seven and her lessons starts at 8.00pm. Had dinner at TCC and Jac went for half a sandwich. Linda and Nat order Slamon and Prawn Linguine (NOT RECOMMENDED!) I had Olio Aglio (little spicy Pasta with fresh scallop & prawns - WORTH TRYING). Bump into Terry and Chelsea (SURPRISE!) who was there waiting for Angie to knock off from her work and Chelsea had some stuff to check with Star Hub, probably her mobile phone plan or Uncle Terry is subscribing to the new HD Box for his weekend Live Soccer Game. Talking about soccer game broadcasted in H D, I caught last weekends's game and I must say I'm impressed with the clarity. Anyway Jac went for her lessons and we proceed to Starbucks for coffee and desserts. The Christmas flavour Latte is WONDERFUL. Cookies & Cream Cheese Cake which we shared is also worth worth trying. Jac returned from her lesson and she said there were quite a lot of older students in her class (hey peeps who's too old to dance?). Jac said she preferred dancing without shoes (what? U think Indian Dance ? hello we signed you up for Grww Power lah not Shamala Karma head swaying hiding behind coconut trees movie danicing...hahahha...). After we reached home and settled down, Jac also brought up about some of these ("Ah Huey" looked like) in her dance class. Maybe their look is a little too garang for Jac's liking. (hey Jac, thats the way the world is, and in dancing, it does not matter whether Ah Huey, Ah Beng, Faitmah or Lolita or even Gopalan) you got vibes, you got rythym and moves, you dance...no barriers no discrimination.....
Nat's going to Siloso Beach
Nat called me at my office and amongst many things i have to attend to, she asked for allowance as she's visiting Siloso Beach with her badminto team mates. She asked for $25. I'm gonna be broke at the rate shes burning my$$$. She said that she's got salary from helping me write my purchase orders. she's charging (more like ransom) me $1 for each p.o. she writes (take like a minute). - things getting out of hand here
Marathon Man - My Saigon Buddy "Anandh"
Yo bro- you're the man! - saw Anandh's interview for this Sunday's Marathon. He finished his 42km last year & he's doing it again. Club 40's proud of you Man!! Way To GO!!! - Rocketman
Flood @ Cuscaden Rd
derrick jus got back to the office and said there is a massive traffic jam at Cuscaden Road (where the soon be completed St Regis Condo / Hotel & HRC's located) - probably caused by the sudden downpour about an hour-and the half ago. Tot our drainage systems here are all very well designed and able to withstand even high water level rise generated by melting ice from the north or south poles.....hahahaha
Nat's Badminton Training
Wat Da? - Nat's got Badminton training this noon, her 2nd with this new coach. Why do they need to train at Yishun? Does'nt the school have their own hall? She's meeting her team mates at Toa Payogh Central to catch lunch and then make their way there together. I'm gonna call up the school to request for her training at her school instead of travelling all over Singapore. If not, I'll ask for a switch of CCA for her. Choir for Nat...what do you think?
